Grants to Maryland charitable organizations in the Baltimore region that promote quality culture, education, health and human services, and arts opportunities. Requests for program and capital support are encouraged. Consideration may be given to requests for general operating support, however, they will be given lower priority than other requests that have more specific purposes.
Special consideration is given to the following three organizations:
-Montgomery General Hospital in Onley, MD
-The George Washington University in Washington, DC
-The Wesley Theological Seminary in Washington, DC
GrantWatch ID#: 177411
Grants are primarily 1 year in duration. On occasion, multi-year grant will be awarded.
Nonprofit organizations serving vital community needs may apply.
Eligibility to re-apply for a grant award from the Helen Pumphrey Denit Trust requires grantee organizations to skip 1 grant cycle (1 year) before submitting a subsequent application. The skip cycle restriction does not apply to the 3 charities named above for which the donor required special consideration.
If an organization's request is declined, this restriction does not apply and the organization may submit an application the following year.
The Helen Pumphrey Denit Trust has an application deadline of February 1. Please submit online applications by 11:59 pm on the day of the foundation’s deadline date.
The applicants will be notified of grant decisions by June 30.
If the application deadline date falls on a weekend or a federally recognized holiday, applications must be submitted on the prior business day by 11:59 pm.
Before starting your grant application, please review the funding source's website listed below for updates/changes/addendums/conferences/LOIs.
