Grants typically ranging from $1,000 to $2,000 to Virginia nonprofit organizations for equipment, supplies, or other items that will improve the quality of life for residents of South Hampton Roads. Priority will be given to programs serving primarily in Norfolk or on a regional level. Previously awarded grants include the purchase of medical supplies, school project materials, food for the needy, theater equipment, and computers and other technology.

- Be 501 (c) 3 nonprofits working in Hampton Roads. There is a preference for organizations working regionally or primarily in Norfolk.
- Not have received a Rotary Club of Norfolk grant in 2016 or 2017.
- Be willing to speak at a Rotary Club of Norfolk and to provide updates on how the grant was helpful.
Not Funded: Salaries, operating expenses, or scholarships.
Applications must be postmarked by January 31, 2018.
