Agency: Foundation

GrantWatch ID #177699

Grant Description

Grants of up to $5,000 and grants of $20,000 to Washington, DC, Maryland, and Virginia nonprofit organizations in eligible areas for projects that benefit local residents. Funding is intended to support small projects and services as well as large-scale projects that demonstrate sustainability and long-term impact. Grants are solely awarded to projects that principally serve Washington Metropolitan Area residents.

The Rotary Foundation makes available the following two types of grant opportunities:

  • Community Service Grants: Supporting projects that demonstrate need for small capital items or “seed money” for special services that provide direct and tangible benefits principally within the Washington Metropolitan Area.
  • Foundation Special Project Grants: Supporting larger projects that demonstrate long-term sustainability and impact and offer opportunities for Rotary members to volunteer and raise the profile of the organization and Rotary in the DC community.
