Grants to Rhode Island nonprofit organizations for the preservation of judicial history within the state. Funding may be requested to preserve records and artifacts of the court system, disseminate historical works concerning the state’s legal history, provide public forums about the state’s constitutional and legal history, and preserve the history of the Rhode Island Supreme Court and the Rhode Island judicial system.

Grants from this fund may support nonprofit organizations.

Please note: Applications will not be considered from organizations with overdue grant reports.

Funds may not be used for the purchase of equipment.

Pre-Application Information:

Organizations should provide matching resources in funds or through in-kind services.

Grants are awarded annually. The 2018 application deadline is midnight (EST) on March 9. Please note that no assistance will be available after 5:00 PM (EST).

Applications are available six weeks prior to the deadline; all applications must be submitted through the online system.
