Grants to Jay County, Indiana nonprofit organizations, governmental, religious, and educational institutions for charitable projects. Funding is available for start-up costs for new programs, one-time program needs, and capital projects.

The Funding Source has previously made contributions to the Jay County community in the following categories: Arts and Culture, Community Development, Education, Health and Human Services, and Youth.

Previously funded projects include: Summer Adventures in Learning Program, Boomer Sports Program, Senior Expo, After-School Robotics Program, Educational Field Days for elementary school children, Special Olympics, and Health Education programs.

Term of Contract:

Grants are one year in duration.

Additional Eligibility Criteria:

Grants must be awarded to eligible organizations including 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations, congregations, governmental, and educational institutions for projects. If the organization conducting the project is not an eligible organization, a grant can be applied for under the fiscal sponsorship of an eligible organization.

The Foundation makes grants to tax-exempt (501)(c) organizations operating or proposing to operate programs for the benefit of Jay County residents.

Generally, the Foundation does not support:

- Individuals, other than scholarships
- Religious or sectarian purposes
- Make-up of operating deficits, post-event or after-the-fact situations
- Endowment campaigns
- Propaganda, political or otherwise, attempting to influence legislation or intervene in any political affairs or campaigns.

Pre-Application Information:

2019 Summer Grants Due no later than 5:00 pm on 6/1/19.
