Grants of up to $10,000 to Winnipeg, Manitoba nonprofit organizations for summer programs that serve disadvantaged children and youth. Funding may be used for tuition subsidies and other program costs. Youth attending the program may face economic disadvantages or health and physical challenges.
Applications will be considered for the following:
-Subsidies for children to attend accredited residential camps
-Subsidies for children to attend accredited summer camp programs
-Subsidies for children to attend summer day camps
-Program costs for summer activities hosted by registered charities
Eligible project costs include, but are not limited to:
-Activities such as trips to the beach or water parks, attendance at summer events, camping, picnics, etc.
-Supplies and equipment such as camping gear, arts, and crafts materials, etc.

Only registered charities are eligible for Camp and Summer Programming Grants from The Winnipeg Foundation.
Projects must primarily benefit children and youth of Winnipeg.
Applications will only be considered for existing summer programs. Organizations that wish to apply for funding for a new summer program can submit an application through The Foundation’s Community Grants Program.
To be eligible for funding, residential camps or summer camp programs held at residential camps must be accredited by the Manitoba Camping Association.
Applicants must include a summary of policies and procedures in place to ensure children’s safety for the proposed activities.
Applying for a Camp and Summer Programming Grant does not preclude an organization from applying for a Community Grant in the same calendar year, but it must be for a different project.
The Winnipeg Foundation reviews all grants based on their merit and does not discriminate on the basis of actual or perceived group characteristics as identified in the Manitoba Human Rights Code. Organizations applying for a grant from The Winnipeg Foundation must also adhere to the Manitoba Human Rights Code.
-Capital projects or renovations
The deadline for receipt of applications is February 15, 4:30 PM. If an application date falls on a weekend or holiday, applications will be accepted until 4:30 pm the next business day.
Notification of decisions will be issued in April.
