Rhode Island Wild Plant Society (RIWPS)
Grant of up to $2,000 to a Rhode Island educator, student, or member of a botanical or environmental association for projects relating to the study of wild plants and their habitats. Funding is intended for workshops, project materials, or courses that will contribute to the project's success.
The project goal must involve environmental activities or research in any area of study related to wild plants and/or their habitats. These activities may involve such things as the installation of gardens, invasive removal, or support for extracurricular activities. It can also be used for project materials, workshops or courses.

The grant is for up to $2,000 and includes a one year membership to RIWPS.
To be eligible, you must:
1. Be a Rhode Island resident or be a non-resident at a Rhode Island educational institution.
2. Have a project goal which involves environmental activities or research in any area of study related to wild plants and/or their habitats. These activities may involve such things as installation of gardens, invasives removal, or support for extracurricular activities with a community outreach component.
3. Be an educator, a member of a Rhode Island botanical or environmental association, or a student in a field related to botany or environmental studies.
Applications must be received by February 28, 2018.
