Grants to Connecticut and New York nonprofit organizations in eligible areas to provide disadvantaged children with the opportunity to attend summer camps. Organizations in New York City and Westchester County, New York, and Fairfield and Hartford Counties, Connecticut, may apply. Priority will be given to camp programs that allow children from the city to experience nature.

Preference will be given to “camperships” rather than general camp-related expenses, such as salaries and supplies.

Term of Contract:

Grants from the Fry Memorial Trust are one year in duration.

Additional Eligibility Criteria:

The Foundation supports nonprofit organizations serving vital community needs.

The Geographic Focus is New York City and Westchester County, New York; and Fairfield and Hartford Counties, Connecticut.

Pre-Application Information:

The deadline for application to the Lily Palmer Fry Memorial Trust is February 1. Applications are to be submitted online; please submit them by 11:59 p.m. on the day of the foundation’s deadline date. If the deadline falls on a weekend or a federally recognized holiday, applications are due on the next business day by 11:59 p.m.

Applicant inquiries can only be answered during normal business hours, Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. EST. Applicants will be notified of grant decisions by letter within 2 to 3 months after the proposal deadline.
