Awards of $1,500 to North Carolina and South Carolina preK-12 public school teachers in eligible counties to recognize distinguished and creative contributions to art, history, and science education. Nominations will be accepted for teachers in Mecklenburg, Cabarrus, Gaston, Iredell, Lincoln, and Union Counties in North Carolina, and Lancaster and York Counties in South Carolina. Teachers, principals, school administrators, parents or students may nominate teachers for consideration.
Nominees should exhibit a career marked by innovation and excellence in teaching focused on the arts, sciences or history or creative infusion of the arts, sciences or history into the core curriculum; school and community leadership; and dedication to the field of education.

Eligible teachers must be a preK-12 teacher working for a public or independent school in Mecklenburg, Cabarrus, Gaston, Iredell, Lincoln or Union Counties in North Carolina or Lancaster or York Counties in South Carolina.
Nomination forms should be submitted by email by Friday, February 28, 2018 at 5:00 PM.
Both Finalists and Recipients will be recognized in Spring 2018.
