Grants to Rhode Island nonprofit organizations for a broad range of animal welfare programs and initiatives. Applications will be accepted for programs and projects that provide for the shelter, care, and maintenance of animals, outreach and education concerning the humane treatment of animals, and animal welfare in general.

This program has previously supported low-cost spay and neuter programs, as well as statewide education efforts. The Foundation will consider capital projects.

Additional Eligibility Criteria:

The Program for Animal Welfare funds organizations in Rhode Island or that serve Rhode Island working to promote and/or provide humane treatment of animals and supports organizations working more generally on the welfare of animals.

Individuals are not eligible to receive grants.

Pre-Application Information:

Grants are awarded annually. The next application deadline is June 13, 2019.

Applications are available six weeks prior to the deadline; all applications must be submitted through the online system.
