Grants to Oregon and Washington nonprofit organizations, tribes, schools, and government agencies to support communities and encourage athletic activity among children in eligible counties. Priority will be given to organizations that provide inclusive programming and that serve underrepresented populations. Eligible organizations are located in the Metropolitan Portland region, the Northern Willamette Valley and in southwest Washington.

The Nike Community Impact Fund (NCIF) supports grassroots organizations (nonprofits, community centers and local schools) to get kids moving, bringing the benefits of sport to their communities, giving kids an opportunity to fall in love with sport and physical activity, and creating stronger communities where play, sport and physical activity are a highly valued part of everyday life. NCIF is an innovative approach to grantmaking that engages a committee of Nike employees to advise where grants are awarded where they live and work. NCIF will award grants for operating support but applicants must demonstrate a compelling need for support and detail how funds will be raised the next year.

Nike Community Impact Fund - Portland Metro and Northern Willamette Valley - 75% of grant awards support projects that promote sport and physical activity in the community. 25% of grant awards support organizations and projects that address community challenges through innovative community-based solutions. The grant is intended to give youth positive experiences in sport and physical activity, and advance healthier, supportive, and more inclusive communities.

Nike Community Impact Fund - Community Store - Northeast Portland Only -  100% of grant awards support projects that promote sport and physical activity in the community.
