Grants to Massachusetts nonprofit and charitable organizations that assist Waltham, Newton, and Watertown residents and families that are in financial crisis. Funding is intended for the focus areas of health, human services, housing, shelter, food, nutrition, and agriculture.

Multi-year funding is not awarded.

Grants are made to public charities that serve individuals and families in Newton, Waltham and Watertown.

Applications for general operating support, endowment, capital projects or multi-year funding are not accepted.

Only one application will be accepted from an organization during a twelve-month period.

The Perpetual Benevolent Fund has biannual application deadlines of March 1 and September 1. Applicants for the March deadline will be notified of grant decisions before May 31. Applicants for the September deadline will be notified before November 30.
