Arkansas Women's Hall of Fame (AWHOF)
Awards to Arkansas women or groups of women to recognize contributions to the social, economic, cultural, and political well being of the nation, state, or community. The award is intended for women who made an impact in their field of endeavor, elevated the status of women, positively impacted women and girls, helped open new frontiers for women and for society in general, and inspired others by their example.
The goal of the Arkansas Women’s Hall of Fame is to honor, in perpetuity, women whose contributions have influenced the direction of Arkansas in their community or the state.
The legacy of these great women should be shared and honored. The Arkansas Women’s Hall of Fame is dedicated to preserving the history of accomplishments and recognizing women across the state of Arkansas. It also provides women encouragement and inspiration from stories shared by these great women.
Various categories of disciplines, professions or fields may include but are not limited to: Arts, Athletics, Business, Community Service, Conservation, Education, Government, Health, the Humanities, Philanthropy, Politics, Science, and Theology, among others.
