Grants of up to $5,000 to Grand Traverse County, Michigan nonprofit organizations for capital expenses, equipment, start-up or new projects, and special events in the following priority areas: arts and culture, environment, education, basic human needs, health and safety, and recreation. Priority is given to projects that have the broadest possible long-term impact in the service area.

Grants will not exceed $5,000.
Grants are available only for nonprofit organizations and projects. Priority is given to organizations whose operating revenues do not come primarily from tax dollars.
Good Works primarily funds projects located in and benefitting residents of Grand Traverse County.
Recurring programs are not funded. The same project will not be funded a second time or be approved due to repeated requests.

Applicants are encouraged to have alternative or additional funding sources in place prior to applying, and to include these plans in their application. Good Works grants never fund 100% of a project’s cost.
Grants involving local public schools must be reviewed by the Superintendent's office prior to submission.
