Grants of up to $2,500 to Connecticut nonprofit organizations and municipal agencies to support events and fundraisers taking place within the funding source’s service area. Eligible towns include Bethlehem, Beacon Falls, Cheshire, Bridgewater, Litchfield, Goshen, Morris, Middlebury, New Milford, Naugatuck, Oxford, Prospect, Roxbury, Southbury, Thomaston, Warren, Washington, Waterbury, Watertown, Walcott, and Woodbury.
There are two types of sponsorship grants:
-Underwriting grants are for one-time charitable events and/or educational programs that are open to the public and held in the CCF’s 21-town service area;
-Challenge grants match dollar-for-dollar (up to the grant amount) contributions received in response to a fundraising challenge made during your organization’s event that are open to the public and held in the CCF’s 21-town service area.
Grants emphasize these ten impact areas:
-Arts and Culture
-Cradle to Career
-Technology for Organizations
-Women and Girls
Connecticut Community Foundation seeks proposals that:
-Align with priority areas listed above
-Address documented community needs
-Summarize the organization’s track record in successfully implementing programs
-Adopt evidence-based programs and models, when appropriate
-Demonstrate potential for drawing additional or sustaining support
-Clearly explain the project plan and provide a realistic budget that aligns with stated goals
-Advance broader community plans and priorities, when applicable
-Describe local presence (even if an agency is based outside the Foundation’s service area, it may have a local office, staff or partnerships)
