Summer employment opportunities for New York City youth between the ages of 14 to 24 to work in entry-level jobs spanning a broad range of industries. This program provides youth with opportunities to gain work experience and earn an income during the summer months. Available industries for work placement include the following:
-Arts and Recreation
The Summer Youth Employment Program (SYEP) offers work experience, teaches valuable employment skills, and provides you with a summer income. SYEP educational activities will enhance your summer experience, allowing you to develop career awareness, understanding of personal money management, and work-related social skills.
SYEP also provides workshops on job readiness, career exploration, financial literacy, and opportunities to continue education and social growth.
Programs are located in community-based organizations in all five boroughs of New York City.

SYEP is a six-week program that will begin on Thursday, July 5, 2018 and continue through Saturday, August 11, 2018.
SYEP is open to all New York City residents between ages 14 through 24, as of July 1st, 2018.
Youth can apply for the program online or at a community-based organization during the application period. Participants are selected by lottery for the program. The SYEP Application Deadline is March 16th, 2018.
Enrollment Dates are April 2018 - June 2018.
