Grants to Montcalm County, Michigan nonprofit organizations for a broad range of programs with a strong educational element that positively impact the local community. Priority will be given to organizations that develop self-sustaining programs without requiring ongoing foundation funds.

Term of Contract:

Grants awarded in the spring cycle can be paid out immediately and are typically based on a school calendar year.

Additional Eligibility Criteria:

Non-profit, tax-exempt organizations (under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code) that serve a charitable purpose in the greater Greenville area are encouraged to apply to GACF for grants. This cycle is specifically for area nonprofits (within Montcalm County, but not including public school systems) that have programs with a strong educational component.

The GACF typically does not fund:
-Annual fund-raising drives;
-Endowments or debt reduction;
-Religious programs that advocate specific religious doctrines or do not serve the broader community;
-General operating support, specifically on a year to year basis;
-Projects, outside the geographic service area of the Greenville Area Community Foundation, that do not provide a major benefit to the local community.

Pre-Application Information:

-Decision: April 2019
-Funding available: Immediately

The Greenville Area Community Foundation staff is available for assistance at any time while completing the initial grant application. Please allow at least 10 days before the deadline if you would like the staff to review the application for the first time before making copies for submittal.
