Montana Department of Natural Resources and Conservation (DNRC)
Grants of up to $10,000 to Montana conservation districts to increase the organizations' capacity for completing and developing conservation activities. Funding may be used towards expanding staff hours in order to help them with receiving funds, executing, and devising projects that improve public outreach, improve conservation district administrative capabilities, and implement conservation plans. The highest priority will be given to activities that lead to “on the ground conservation” projects.
However, if a particular area wants to use the expertise of another district employee to develop web pages, provide training for specific topics (Quick Books, payroll, office organization, or web page design) this program will also help pay for those costs. Funds may be requested to cover the costs of district employee salary, travel expenses, or supplies: plan and implement new conservation projects or programs, organize conservation district education and outreach efforts, and provide on the job-training to other district administrators.
