Grants of up to $5,000 to USA nonprofit organizations for public programs, projects, and events that aim to promote an appreciation of Nordic art and culture. Funding is intended to support programs that engage public audiences in the appreciation of Nordic art, culture, and thought. Priority for this program has traditionally been given to underwrite public programming and defined events.

Additionally, the Foundation will consider applications for the Andrew E. and G. Norman Wigeland Fund, a special fund for exchange projects between Norway and the United States. Projects open to consideration are restricted to those that involve one-way exchange from Norway to the United States, and preference will be given to projects that bring Norwegian citizens to the USA in an effort to enhance the American public’s appreciation of Norwegian life, art, and thought.
