Estimated Size of Grant:

Grants will be awarded in amounts from $500 to $3,000.

Additional Eligibility Criteria:

Fire departments serving communities with populations of 10,000 or less are eligible.

Your fire department must have a current Memorandum of Understanding with the Division of Forestry that is dated after June 30. 2013 to be eligible for this program. If you do not have one, contact your Assistant District Forester.

Pre-Application Information:

This is a 50% reimbursement grant.

The Tennessee Division of Forestry is accepting grant applications for the Volunteer Fire Assistance (VFA) Program beginning August 7, 2018 and no later than September 14, 2018. Application Package must be received your local Assistant District Forester by 4:00 pm September 14, 2018.
