Grants ranging from $15,000 to $25,000 to New York City nonprofits for programs and projects that improve the lives of disadvantaged women and children. Funding will be provided to nonprofits for efforts that help ensure the well-being and self-sufficiency of low-income women and their families.

Recognizing the diverse array of programs that serve these populations, the Roche Relief Foundation has chosen to focus its limited resources on programs that serve the following unemployed or underemployed women. Organizations that provide job training and placement will be prioritized.

The typical grant range is between $15,000 and $25,000.

Term of Contract:

The majority of grants are one year in duration.


Additional Eligibility Criteria:

Organizations serving disadvantaged women and children in New York City area are eligible.

Grant requests for general operating support or program/project support are strongly encouraged.

In general, grant requests for endowment campaigns, capital projects, or scholarly research will not be considered.

Pre-Application Information:

The application deadline for the Edward and Ellen Roche Relief Foundation is June 30. Grant decisions will be made by October 31.

Please note that all of the foundations require an online application process.

Please submit online applications by 11:59 p.m. on the day of the foundation’s deadline date. If the application deadline date falls on a weekend or a federally recognized holiday, we do not extend the deadline, therefore applications must be submitted on the prior business day by 11:59 p.m.
