Grants to Oakland County, Michigan nonprofit organizations for large-scale community benefit projects. A letter of intent is required prior to submitting a full application. Funding is intended for arts and culture, environment, education, recreation, family, and health and wellness. Although Impact100 Oakland County members are all women, grants are not restricted to projects or organizations made up of or benefitting only women.

Projects must predominantly serve residents of Oakland County and have a measurable high impact on beneficiaries.

Additional Eligibility Criteria:

Organizations eligible to apply for the Impact100 Oakland County grant must:

- Be classified as a “Public Charity” with tax-exempt status under Section 501(c)3 of the Internal Revenue Code.
- Be in possession of three full prior years (36 months) independently prepared, audited or reviewed financial statements with at least one year (12 months) independently prepared audited financial statements.
- Have a minimum annual operating budget of $250,000.
- Have a total project budget of at least the grant amount for that year. (Note: Up to 15% of the Impact100 Oakland County project grant may be allocated to organizational overhead expenses for that project). Project budget must be at least $102,000.
- Not have received an Impact100 Oakland County grant in the previous three years. The three-year period for grant recipients to re-apply begins the year the grant is awarded no matter if the grant money is distributed lump sum or via installment payments. (Example Nonprofit X received a grant in 2018; Nonprofit X would be able to re-apply in 2021.)

Impact100 Oakland County will not provide grants for: debt reduction; relief of operating deficits; interim or bridge funding; endowment funding; individuals or private foundations; activities that are partisan, legislative or political in nature; fraternal, sectarian or religious organizations unless the project benefits the broader community; fund drives; annual appeals; fundraising events; or general capital campaigns unrelated to a specific project.

Pre-proposal Conference:

Please consider attending the Grant Application Information Session at the Troy Community Center, 3179 Livernois, on May 1 at 6pm. This session will provide an overview of the grant application and award process and instruction that may be helpful in applying for the grant.

Pre-Application Information:

- The deadline to submit the LOI is May 24, 2019.
- Organizations that meet the LOI requirements will be invited to submit a grant proposal. A link to the online application portal will be emailed by May 30.
- If invited to proceed, the deadline for the grant proposal is July 12 (midnight).
- Nonprofits are notified of review decisions September 16.
- Representatives from each of the finalist organizations make a short presentation at the annual meeting in October 2019.

Each Impact100 Oakland County member votes at the annual meeting or by absentee ballot to determine the grant recipient. The organizations receiving the most votes will receive the full grant awards. The grant recipients are announced at the conclusion of the meeting.
