Grants ranging from $1,500 to $10,000 to greater Pierce County area, Washington nonprofit organizations for programs that will improve the lives of the underserved. Funding is primarily, though not exclusively, intended for programs that promote women's and children's empowerment and self-sufficiency. Nonprofits should seek to better the lives of marginalized community members emotionally, physically, and/or spiritually.

Grants that focus on the following are encouraged:

- Innovative ways to enhance or expand existing programs central to the organization’s mission
- New initiatives closely tied to the organization’s mission
- Capital improvements critical to sustaining the mission of the organization

Occasionally, grants may be considered for general operating expenses.

Grants will generally range from $1,500 to $10,000 depending on need. Some grants may be considered for up to $20,000 or for multi-year projects.

Multi-year projects are eligible.

- All submitting organizations must be 501(C)3 IRS qualified.
- Grants are made to nonprofits serving the greater Pierce County, Washington area, though some exceptions may be made for adjoining counties.
- Grants are intended for small, local area nonprofits with annual budgets of $500,000 or less.

Grants will not be made to:

- Health care organizations
- Educational groups/organizations
- Religious communities/organizations

Please note that because this is a new foundation, applications are still being accepted through September 30, 2017, with funding to occur on or before December 1, 2017.

Regularly, grant applications will be accepted up to May 1st of each calendar year. Grant funding will be issued on or before September 1st of the year.
