Grants of up to $10,000 to Massachusetts nonprofit and faith-based organizations, schools, and government agencies in eligible locations for services to meet the needs of the local community. Funding is intended for activities in the areas of arts and culture, education, health and human services, youth, recreation, and the environment. Eligible applicants are those that serve residents in Falmouth.

The Falmouth Fund is a resource that is responsive to diverse needs and opportunities across the community. The Fund invests in activities that strengthen and enhance the community in the following areas: health & human services; education & youth programs; arts and culture; and the environment. All grants must serve the residents of Falmouth. 
Program Grants

    Program Grants address the unique needs of our communities across Barnstable County. Program Grants will support or strengthen:

    • Existing projects and programs with a track record of success
    • Program planning and development, as well as pilot projects
    • One-time projects with specific community outcomes (This does not include fundraisers or other event sponsorships)
    • Equipment or staff expenses that are essential to the implementation of a project or program

    Additional Eligibility Criteria:

    Types of Organizations that May Apply
    • 501(c)(3) public charities
    • Organizations serving a charitable purpose that have a fiscal sponsor that is a 501(c)(3) public charity
    • Faith-based organizations. We will consider proposals if: (1) services benefit all, regardless of religion; (2) services provided are not religious in nature; and (3) there is no proselytizing associated with the service.
    • Civic organizations. Proposals must be project-based and of a charitable nature; the organization must have a fiscal sponsor that is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.
    • Public and private schools. We will only fund projects that exceed the school’s budget; applicant must have a letter of support from the fiscal head of the school.
    • Other government agencies with project-based proposals. Applicants must have a letter of support from the fiscal head of the agency.

    The Cape Cod Foundation will generally not consider proposals to fund the following:
    • Debt reduction
    • Projects that will be completed prior to grant award
    • Capital campaigns
    • Endowment building
    • Monuments and memorials
