Grants of up to $10,000 to Nevada nonprofit organizations for one-time events that promote Jewish life and strengthen the community. Funding may be requested for the sponsorship of specific events related to the following focus areas: caring for the vulnerable, Jewish continuity and vibrancy, and Israel and global impact.

Examples of possible events include Menorah Lightings, Sukkah Events, Pop-up Shabbat, Celebrate Israel, etc.

Please be advised that all allocations requested must be used for that specific event and its service-related cost.

Estimated Size of Grant:

Grants will not be more than $10,000 per event.

Term of Contract:

Events which receive a grant must take place January 1 - December 31, 2018.

Additional Eligibility Criteria:

Eligible applicants include nonprofits with tax-exempt status that serve the Jewish community in the state of Nevada.

Applications must include a copy of the organization’s IRS determination letter indicating 501(c)(3) status.

Nonprofits that have current Federation grants must be in compliance with the terms of those awards to be considered.

JN funds may not be used to fund any type of fundraising project or solicitation event.

Pre-Application Information:

Organizations that submit an application must be prepared to provide 20% matching funds for the implementation of any grant requested. (As an example: If an organization requests $2,000 from JN, that organization must be prepared to contribute $400 to the project.). Grants will not cover more than 80 percent of the total project cost.
