Grants of up to $75,000 to USA, Canada, and International principal investigators and researchers at for-profit and nonprofit institutions for the development of preliminary research ideas addressing psoriasis and/or psoriatic arthritis. Funding is intended to support researchers while they explore preliminary ideas and conduct proof-of-concept experiments.
The National Psoriasis Foundation (NPF) is seeking grant applications that encourage the advancement of innovative research into psoriasis, psoriatic arthritis, and related comorbidities. The goal is to stimulate the development of new research programs in the field of psoriatic disease capable of competing for long-term funding from the National Institutes of Health or other agencies in the future.
Applications related to all aspects of psoriatic disease are strongly encouraged, including basic science, translational research, technology, epidemiology, health services, and clinical research. Prospective applicants are encouraged to review recent publications and reports identifying research gaps and priorities in psoriatic disease research.
Research projects are chosen not only for their potential to yield information that may help treat psoriatic disease, but also to answer basic questions about the underlying disease mechanisms, comorbidities, and public health.
