Grants ranging from $2,500 to $5,000 to New Hampshire nonprofit organizations and municipalities for community development projects in Merrimack, Sullivan, and Hillsborough Counties. Projects may involve the repurposing or renovation of high visibility, under-developed downtown buildings, as well as other impactful projects.

The goal of this program is to identify projects where CRDC can subsequently add value by deploying its lending capital into the project preferably working with a local developer or municipality as a partner.

Eligible Activities: feasibility studies, job creation/retention activities, expansion of property tax base, community facilities and other projects that promote economic development and raising the quality of living in the community.

CRDC Staff will use the following criteria for awarding grants:
-Job Creation/Retention
-Leverage of additional funds
-Location (preference will be given to rural areas)
-Overall community benefit/impact
-Readiness & feasibility of proposed project/program

Grants are made to municipalities and nonprofit corporations located in CRDC's core lending area of Sullivan, Merrimack and Hillsborough Counties.

Pre-Application Information:

Applications are due by 5:00 PM EST on Wednesday, January 31, 2018.

Award decisions will be announced by March 1st, 2018.
