Santa Fe Hestia Fund Grant

Santa Fe Community Foundation (SFCF) - Santa Fe Hestia Fund

Agency: Foundation

GrantWatch ID #183556

Grant Description

Previous Page Version

Grants to New Mexico organizations to benefit middle school students in eligible locations. Funding is intended to support both summer and school year programs that will lead to an increase in the high school graduation rate. Eligible initiatives and programs benefit students within the geographic boundaries of the Santa Fe Public Schools.

Proposals must benefit middle school students, adding positively to their life experience in the areas of academics, arts, sciences, athletics, health, and well-being.

While the overall goal is to encourage students to gain successes and stay motivated to remain in school through high school graduation, the more immediate goal is to offer students enriching opportunities. Though funding programs has been Hestia’s emphasis, strategic initiatives will also be considered.

The Santa Fe Hestia Fund strives to be most effective in fulfilling its mission using a framework focused on the Whole Child. SFCF believes that when middle school students are supported, positively engaged, thriving and aspiring, they will stay focused on their futures and graduate from high school. SCFC believes that after-school and summer programs are critical opportunities to change the trajectory for middle school students, and that effective programs will address practical needs of the students and their families.
