Santa Fe Community Foundation - Santa Fe Hestia Fund
Grants to Santa Fe, New Mexico nonprofit organizations for enrichment programs that benefit middle school students in the areas of health, arts, well-being, academics, athletics, and sciences. Funding is intended to increase the local high school graduation rate by providing a framework of support to youth.
While the overall goal is to encourage students to gain success and stay motivated to remain in school, the more immediate goal is to offer students enriching opportunities. Though funding programming has been Hestia’s emphasis, strategic initiatives will also be considered.
The Santa Fe Hestia fund strives to be most effective in fulfilling its mission using a framework focused on the Whole Child. The Fund believes that when middle school students are supported, positively engaged, thriving and aspiring, they will stay focused on their futures and graduate from high school. They believe that after-school and summer programs are critical opportunities to change the trajectory for middle school students, and that effective programs will address practical needs of the students and their families.
For more information about this framework, see:

Hestia considers proposals from a variety of local nonprofit organizations.
Organizations may apply individually or in collaboration with other groups to provide a more comprehensive program.
Please note the Hestia Fund follows a guideline of funding grant partners for no more than three consecutive years. This guideline does not assure consecutive funding during the three-year term as each organization’s performance is evaluated yearly. Hestia Fund encourages all grant partners to apply for funding again after the one-year hiatus. For those who are funded by Hestia, this means three years on, one year off.
The 2020/2021 Grant Cycle will close May 15, 2019. Applications are reviewed after May 15th of each year.
Hestia will schedule site visits between June 1, 2019 and November 30, 2019. Site visits are often most successful when the Hestia members can observe the students participating in the program.
The Santa Fe Hestia Fund will make granting decisions in February 2020.
Before starting your grant application, please review the funding source's website listed below for updates/changes/addendums/conferences/LOIs.
