Milwaukee Arts Board (MAB)
02/28/19 Midnight Electronic Receipt
Grants to Milwaukee, Wisconsin nonprofit organizations and groups to support public art projects in local communities. The funding source seeks to form strategic partnerships with local neighborhoods, artists, and organizations to commission public works of art within the city.
GrantWatch ID#: 184007
Tax-exempt 501(c)(3) organizations are eligible to apply. Groups without tax-exempt status must use a fiscal receiver (a tax-exempt 501(c)(3) organization that agrees to receive and account for the funds) for their project.
In 2019, applications will be considered on a rolling basis, as long as funds remain, with the first review scheduled for the March 2019 Public Art Subcommittee Meeting. If you want your application considered at that meeting, it must be submitted no later than midnight, February 28, 2019. All applications must be submitted electronically.
In no case will the Milwaukee Arts Board provide more than 50% of the funds for a project, and in all cases funding will only be released as matching funds are secured. Although other city funds may be used for the project, it is expected that the funds used to match this award come from outside sources. The Board is willing to consider large projects for which it would be a smaller, catalytic funder, as well as smaller projects in which we would be an equal partner.
Before starting your grant application, please review the funding source's website listed below for updates/changes/addendums/conferences/LOIs.
Proposals must be submitted electronically to email@example.com.
