Grants of up to $3,000 to Montana nonprofit organizations, schools and school systems, government agencies, churches, and religious organizations for summer food programs for local children. Funding is intended for promotional materials, transportation, equipment, supplies for activities, personnel, and other non-food program expenses. Additional funds for mobile meals projects will be considered on a case by case basis.

Schools and community partners are encouraged to apply for grants to support the implementation of innovative and well-proven food programs that provide kids with the food they need all day and all year round. As no Kid Hungry seeks to expand the summer meals program, it also wants to ensure the sustainability of existing sites and enhance the experience for children who attend.

Grants are intended to help schools and community organizations increase participation in existing meal programs by implementing alternative strategies or to launch a new program where is currently none. Funds are intended for the purchase of approved equipment, training, and outreach materials necessary to roll out, expand, or improve a meal service program. However, schools can apply for funds to recruit temporary staffing to facilitate the transition or launch of a new program. In the past, grants have been used to purchase kiosks for Grab' N' Go Breakfast, host summer meal kickoff events, improve programming and atmosphere to encourage teen participation and much more!

No Kid Hungry is especially excited to fund applicants for projects in the following areas:
- Improving activities that accompany meals
- Launching creative mobile meal strategies
- Improving meal quality and local food
- Engaging and involving teens
