Grants of $500 to Blackford County, Indiana nonprofit organizations, government units (including schools and school districts), and church organizations for programs that benefit local women and children. Previous grants have funded teen support programs, camp scholarships for K-6 students, preschool learning materials, and a parenting leadership program for women.

Additional Eligibility Criteria:

Any local tax-exempt nonprofit organization is eligible for funding if it is a:

- 501(c)(3), i.e., a public charity whose activities are for charitable, religious, educational, scientific, literary, public safety testing, supporting amateur sports, etc.;
- Governmental unit, including a school or school district; or
- Church organization.

Excluded from Grant Funding:

- Awards to fund the same projects that won a W.O.W. grant award the previous year;
- Awards to make up operating deficits, post-event or after-the-fact situations;
- Awards to support special fundraising events, including endowment campaigns;
- Awards to support political endeavors and propaganda; and
- Awards to profit-making enterprises and/or projects for personal gain

Pre-Application Information:

Applications are due at the Foundation office by Thursday, August 29, 2019, 4:30 p.m.

In order to be considered for funding, please plan to have an individual from your organization attend the luncheon on Sunday, September 29th at Lake Placid. Although you will not be asked to present, the Foundation will provide you with a table where you may share a poster or presentation materials that might help the women better understand the project for which you are requesting funding.

Grants will be awarded by the W.O.W. membership on Sunday, September 29, 2019, 1:00 p.m. at the Lake Placid Conference Center during the W.O.W. Fall Luncheon.
