Grants of up to $500 to USA, Canada, and International women entrepreneurs to enhance business or organizational development. Funding is intended to support the improvement, expansion, and strengthening of organizations and businesses that impact families, girls, and women throughout the world. Requests will be accepted from individuals, small businesses, for-profits, and non-profit entities working in any field.

Established in 2018, Giving Joy is a non profit that strengthens and inspires women entrepreneurship worldwide. Through its micro-grants and mentorship program, Giving Joy helps women establish, expand or adapt their business or organization - to sustain themselves, their families and their communities. To date, Giving Joy has granted 22 grants to women and women-led organizations in Cameroon, Kenya, India, Malawi, Nigeria, Uganda and the US (Massachusetts, Indiana, Mississippi , Washington State and Virginia).  However, the Foundation is interested in funding new countries/regions/states/cities as well as different types of business from what they funded in the past. They want to showcase a wide array of skillset and experiences that women are doing globally.

Number of Grants:

Between 3 and 5 grants will be awarded.

Grants range from US $250 to US $500.

Term of Contract:

Awardees have up to 12 months to use the grant.

Additional Eligibility Criteria:

Women entrepreneurs worldwide may apply.

Applicant Qualifications:
- Grants target women ages 18 and up.
- Individuals, small businesses, for-profit, and non-profit entities can apply.
- Applicants can live and work in any country.
- Applicants from any field are encouraged to apply: Education, the environment, promoting democracy, healthcare, cooking, etc. However your business/organization MUST be legal.
- Your business/organization/idea must have an impact on women, girls, and families. Grants should target human recipients.

The Grant cannot be used to pay a salary or buy personal items. Misuse of grant monies will result in immediate discontinuation of funding.

Pre-Application Information:

Round 8 is currently open:
- Applications are being accepted starting February 1, 2021 to July 31, 2021.
- Voting will be open from August 1 - October 31, 2021.
- Winners will be announced the first week of November, 2021.

After you submit your online application, a representative from Giving Joy may reach out to you for additional information and/or to clarify your answers. They may also ask for photos of you and your business/organization. (A request for additional information from Giving Joy does not mean that you are shortlisted.)

Applicants may only apply once per cycle. Once awarded a grant, applicants cannot apply again. Applicants who do not receive a grant are encouraged to apply again in future cycles.
