Grants to Arizona nonprofit organizations, for-profit businesses, and government agencies in eligible areas for community development activities. Funding is intended for projects that strengthen neighborhoods, provide human services and a suitable living environment, and offer economic opportunities to low- and moderate-income residents of the city of Prescott. Funds may be used for public services.

  • Support services and shelter for people experiencing homelessness

Additional Eligibility Criteria:

The City of Prescott seeks applications from non-profit, for-profit, or government agencies.

Government Agencies applying for 1st time CDBG funding may only apply for a new service; or a quantifiable increase in the level of an existing service.

Ineligible Activities
- Religious Activities
- Income payments directly to clients.
- General local government expenses
- Political Activities
- Purchase of Equipment except for Admin and Public Services
- Operating and Maintenance Expenses
- New Housing Construction with the exception of: Acquisition, Demolition, Infrastructure, Site Prep

Pre-Application Information:

Applications are due by February 24, 2021, at 2 pm.

Timeline:
- January 20, 2021 – Application Workshop
- February 24, 2021 – Grant Applications due to the City (by 2 pm)
- March 17, 2021 – Public Hearing #1 – Project Presentations CDBG Citizen Advisory Committee
- April 21, 2021– Public Hearing #2 – Project Award Decisions CDBG Citizen Advisory Committee(Council Chambers, 1:30 p.m.)
- April 27, 2021 – Public Hearing #3; Plan is presented to Council and the Public. 30 Day Public Comment period begins.
- May 27, 2021 – Public Comment Period ends
- June 8, 2021 - Public Hearing #4 – City Council Approves Annual Action Plan, Passes Resolution, and approves submittal to HUD.
- July 1, 2021 – Funding Year begins (Funds can only be spent after July 1. Reimbursements cannot occur until the plan is approved by HUD and Contracts are signed).
