Grant Description
In-kind grants to USA organizations, agencies, groups, and businesses to promote water safety. The purpose of this program is to make life jackets available for boating and other water activities, at no cost. In addition to life jackets, grantees will receive signage, a press kit, and a program manual. Applicants may apply for a loaner stand building kit and life jackets, or just for life jackets without the stand.

The Sea Tow Foundation’s mission is to provide access to education, tools and resources in order to eliminate preventable recreational boating accidents and deaths.

Your group can apply for a loaner stand building kit and life jackets, or just for life jackets without the stand. Please note that the purpose of this grant program is to provide life jackets to the boating public free of charge that can be borrowed and returned for the day to keep them safe on the water. Priority must be given to locations with boating as the primary use, but life jackets can also be borrowed at those locations for other water activities such as fishing, swimming, hunting, wading, etc. If your group requires payment or a membership to access your facility, there must be a plan in place that the life jackets could still be accessed by non-paying or non-members that could benefit from the use of the life jackets.

A limited number of life jacket loaner stand building kits will be available and only one can be requested by each group. There is no additional cost for these, but due to the limited supply, you will also be asked if your group can build your own stand. Building plans can be provided upon request. Signage will be available to all new stand locations.
