In-kind grant of educational videos to USA schools to strengthen student engagement in the wake of the Coronavirus (COVID-19) health crisis. The grants are intended to promote student involvement and deepen conceptual understanding through the use of entertaining film clips connected to the curriculum. The grant will provide ClassHook television and movie clips for K-12 educational use.
Proposal Requirements:
Proposals should include context on how the pandemic has affected student engagement whether it be in-person, remote, or hybrid learning environments. Proposals should also include the type of engagement strategies that were successful and unsuccessful, noting the roadblocks that might have caused the latter.
Proposals should include the type of video usage currently used in classrooms, how teachers are finding their content, and if they have noticed that specific video content that appeals to different grade levels or student populations.
Proposals should outline how ClassHook videos and discussion features will be used to support a specific area of growth (ex: critical thinking skills, evidence-based responses, social-emotional learning, etc) and the type of engagement activity to help reach that goal.
Proposals must outline criteria for success, summarizing what teachers and administrators hope to gain from an annual school subscription to ClassHook.
