Grants of up to $15,000 will be for nonprofits, for-profits, and individuals for projects to preserve and restore designated historic building interiors. Eligible activities support the conservation of historically significant interior spaces.
4. Grants and Support to Veterans-led Startups Expand Businesses!
Grants and in-kind support will be for startup ventures led by U.S. military veterans. The program helps veteran entrepreneurs successfully launch and expand their businesses by providing early-stage financing. In addition, they will also be provided with strategic planning, operations guidance, networking, and staffing support.
5. Grants to Address Global Challenges!
Grants of up to $15,000 will be distributed to nonprofit and for-profit organizations and individuals for early-stage initiatives addressing global challenges. The funding supports innovative ideas with the potential for large-scale impact. As part of the training, grantees will demonstrate proof of concept or launch pilot projects.
6. Grants for Innovative Clean Energy Technologies!
Grants will be for companies and nonprofits to develop and/or demonstrate innovative clean energy technologies. The funding supports solutions to displace carbon-intensive technologies, including advancements in manufacturing to decarbonize cement, steel, and plastics. The goal will be to accelerate adoption and development of these ideas for commercial use.
7. Grants to BIPOC-Owned Businesses for Emergency Repairs and Renovations!
Grants of up to $1,000 will be awarded to BIPOC-owned businesses (Black, Indigenous, people of color) to address emergency repair and renovation needs. The funding will help cover costs for natural disasters, equipment repair, theft, vandalism, and other unexpected events. Many applicants operate with limited access to capital, making this funding especially impactful.
8. Grants and In-Kind Support to Increase Access to Affordable Capital!
Grants – along with in-kind support – will be allocated to nonprofits and for-profit businesses to improve access to interest-free capital. The funding will be provided as recoverable grants that are only repaid if specific financial milestones are reached. The program priority would include small businesses owned by low-income, minority, and disadvantaged entrepreneurs, as well as tax-exempt organizations facing barriers to traditional financing.
9. Grants, Loans, and Technical Assistance to Enhance Food Access!
Grants, loans, and technical assistance will be distributed to nonprofits, for-profits to enhance food access in underserved regions. There will also be assistance for Institutions of Higher Education (IHEs), Tribal entities, and government agencies as well. The funding supports the creation, expansion, or renovation of food retail and food enterprise models.
The program provides $60 million for pre-development, planning, and implementation phases to incorporate innovation to strengthen the retail food supply chain while increasing access to nutritious food.
10. Grants for Facility Upgrades and Emergency Renovations!
Grants are available to nonprofit and for-profit performance venues and promoters in the performing arts, comedy, and music sectors. The funding supports emergency recovery, structural repairs, safety upgrades, and capital improvements resulting from natural or man-made disasters, terrorism, or other hazards. Eligible expenses include interior and exterior emergency repairs and upgrades to safety protocols.
