Navigating Independence: Foster Care Grants
Foster care grants are vital for supporting the more than 368,000 children and youth currently in the foster care system. In addition, each year, roughly 25,000 young individuals age out of foster care, often facing serious challenges like unstable housing, limited education, unemployment, and a lack of social connections. These barriers can shape their futures in both the short and long term, making access to resources, financial support, and guidance essential. Funding for programs that provide housing, education, job training, and mentorship can help these children and young adults build a stable foundation for independence.
As a result, GrantWatch has grants open for applications that provide support for children in foster care and youths aging out of the system. These grants help organizations provide healthy food, support care givers, provide medical treatment, and fund housing for young adults who have aged out of foster care. Read on for a list of curated grants and the help they can provide.
