Grant Description

Grants to Washington nonprofit organizations, for-profit entities, and public agencies in eligible areas for programs and projects that promote local tourism. Funding is intended for festivals, cultural activities, and special events, or to operate tourism facilities. The goal of the grant program is to attract visitors to the City of Spokane.

Funds granted are to be used for the following:

Tourism marketing
The marketing and operations of special events and festivals
The operation and capital expenditures of tourism-related facilities owned or operated by a municipality or public facility district
The operations of tourism-related facilities owned or operated by non-profit organizations.

Note that special events and festivals may request funding for operations and marketing but tourism promotion may only request funds for marketing.
