Grants of up to $2,000 to North Carolina individual artists and groups of artists to foster community activities in eligible locations. Funding is intended to promote artist-led projects and programs in the visual, performing, and literary arts. Special consideration will be given to projects that provide equitable access to the arts and address the immediate need for arts space. All applicants must reside in or carry out projects within Orange County.
The purpose of this program is to support artist-led and artist-created projects for the community; this could include public art, support of arts spaces, or exhibits/performances accessible to the greater community.
Artist Project Grant funds may be used for expenditures to conduct quality arts programs for the benefit of the greater community. Typical uses of money include artist payments, space rental, advertising, marketing and publicity, website and electronic media, scripts, costumes, sets, props, supplies, equipment rental or purchase.
Estimated Size of Grant:
All projects must take place between July 1, 2022, and June 30, 2023 (this means you can apply for a project that may have already happened before you are notified).
