Philanthropic Ventures Foundation (PVF)
Grants of up to $1,000 to California K-5 public school teachers for one-day class field trips for low-income schools in Alameda, San Mateo, and San Francisco Counties. Funding is intended to open new vistas for children, and can cover the cost of transportation, admission fees, and food. Examples of eligible excursions include a trip to the beach, a visit to a museum, a ride on a bay ferry, or a classroom hike and picnic.

Low-income public school teachers for grades K-5, Alameda, San Mateo, and San Francisco counties are eligible to apply.
There is a limit of two grants per school and one grant per teacher.
Please note: The Foundation not fund overnight field trips.
Applicants should send their application in as soon as it is ready – money is limited. Funding will be immediately available, if approved.
Applicants should simply fax in (or scan and email) a description of their idea on school letterhead, and include the information found on the website.
