Grants to Michigan nonprofit organizations, units of government, churches, and educational institutions to benefit the community in eligible locations. Applicants must contact the funding source prior to submitting a proposal. Focus areas include education, health and human services, environment, arts and culture, and economic and community betterment. Eligible programs and projects should benefit the Allendale community.
The Allendale Community Foundation:
Encourages programs which are collaborative, comprehensive, and have potential for continuity.
Encourages leveraging and matching grant opportunities involving multiple funding sources.
Supports “seed money” requests to assist innovative projects.
Encourages programs and projects focused on problem prevention rather than cure.

Additional Eligibility Criteria
The Allendale Community Foundation awards grants to charitable organizations that are recognized under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. The Foundation also awards grants to units of government, educational institutions, and churches that are providing services which benefit the Allendale community.
