Grant Description
Awards of $5,000 to a Texas K-12 teacher and a college-level educator to recognize outstanding contributions to the quality of history education. Nominations are invited on behalf of worthy individuals who teach full-time at the kindergarten, elementary, secondary, or higher education levels.


Additional Eligibility Criteria
Any person may nominate any full-time educator presently teaching history in a Texas school or college.

Pre-Application Information
Letters of nomination sent to the award committee must be postmarked on or before November 15, 2023.

Number of Grants
Two awards: one each at the K-12 and college levels

Estimated Size of Grant
The winning educators will be presented with a certificate and a check for $5,000.
