Award of $5,000 to a USA, Canada, or International individual to recognize outstanding contributions to reference librarianship. Eligible contributions may involve a constructive and imaginative program in a library; inspirational and creative teaching; authoring significant articles or books in the reference field; active participation in professional associations devoted to reference services; or leadership in other noteworthy professional activities.
