Grants to Kansas nonprofits, educational institutions, faith-based organizations, and government agencies for programs in Ottawa and Saline Counties that help young children succeed in kindergarten. Requests will be considered from programs whose work furthers the care, education, development, health, safety and human service needs of children ages 0-6 to better prepare them to enter kindergarten.

Special consideration will be given to programs or organizations that work with children in poverty or with other significant barriers to learning.

Additional Eligibility Criteria:

Grants are made to 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations, educational, government or religious institutions.

Individuals or organizations that do not fall into one of the above types of institutions are encouraged to partner with a fiscal agent in one of those categories. If that is not possible, a grant may still be awarded for a charitable project, but with additional expenditure responsibility requirements as outlined in the Grant Making and Due Diligence Policy & Procedure guidelines.

Pre-Application Information:

The foundation offers four (4) GSCF Grant cycles per fiscal year. Applications are available online at anytime and are due by 11:59 p.m. on each due date. Available funds will be offered each cycle until all have been expended for the year. Grants will be awarded within 4-6 weeks of each grant deadline.
