Grants of up to $5,000 to New York nonprofit organizations in eligible areas for services that benefit disadvantaged populations that are displaced or actively impacted by the Coronavirus (COVID-19). Funding is intended to directly benefit underserved residents or ALICE populations (those who are employed but are living paycheck-to-paycheck). Eligible programs benefit underprivileged residents of Westchester County.
The goal of the grant program is to provide direct disaster recovery assistance to families as well as local nonprofits affected by COVID-19. Examples of services considered but not limited to are food to children whose school is closed, legal services to avoid eviction because of job displacement, child and/or adult daycare, crisis counseling, community mental health interventions, assistance to caregivers, etc.
