Nonprofit Grants Create Homes for Low-Income Families and Seniors
What’s so important about Housing for Low-Income Families and Seniors anyway? The Answer: Everything! Low-income families and seniors represent two of the most vulnerable populations in any community. These groups often have little or no access to desperately needed essential services. The community at-large must do all that it can to help secure adequate and affordable housing for low-income families and seniors.

Grants to nonprofits and Institutions of Higher Education (IHEs) for projects benefiting older adults ages 65 and above. The funding are for advocacy projects that address nationwide policy issues. Primary consideration will be for projects to advance policy issues of critical importance to older residents for housing, security, and caregiving. The goal is to have a clear and strategic focus to address systemic problems.
2. In-Kind Support to Disabled Veterans for Specially Adapted Custom Housing
In-kind support to provide specially adapted custom housing for veterans to address severe injuries sustained while in service to their country. Custom-designed homes will be provided to injured veterans. The program donates newly constructed, specially adapted custom homes designed to enable veterans to experience maximum freedom of movement.
3. Grants to Active-Duty Service Members and Their Families for Financial Assistance
Grants up to $2,500 to active-duty service members and their families for financial assistance. The funding helps individuals address financial constraints as a result of their active-duty injury. Grants will be paid directly to creditors to cover basic daily necessities. These expenses include mortgage, rent, repairs, and homeowner’s insurance.
4. Fund Nonprofits, Agencies, and Schools to Address Community Needs
Grants to nonprofits, schools, and tribes to address community needs. Funding supports activities that include affordable housing. The goal is to provide housing access and affordability, which in turn drives the search for solutions, enabling people to have a quality and affordable place to call home.
5. In-Kind Support to Families of Fallen Military Service Members for Housing Assistance
There are in-kind donations of housing assistance to families of fallen military service members. Eligible families include at least one child aged 16 or younger. The goal is to provide support to families of service members who were killed while serving their country. The Foundation will provide a mortgage-free home to these families.
6. Grants and In-Kind Support to Military Veterans and First Responders for Housing Aid
Grants and in-kind donations to military veterans, first responders, and their families to provide homes and/or complete ongoing home improvement projects. Recipients will receive mortgage-free homes or modifications to their current homes, to be provided by builders, developers, remodelers, and others.
7. In-Kind Agency and Tribal Support for Local Housing and Equitable Development Needs
In-kind support to government agencies and tribes to meet local housing needs and support equitable housing development. Successful applicants will receive technical assistance to support the coordination and integration of transportation and housing for infrastructure planning and implementation.
8. Fund Added Financing from Private Sector Lenders to Borrowers for Affordable Housing
Grants to private sector lenders to increase rural affordable housing. Funding is provided to borrowers for the purchase, construction, and improvement of multi-family rental housing units for moderate- and low-income residents. Grants will be to buy and improve land and enhance current infrastructure as needed.
9. Loans to Low-Income Residents to Reduce Mortgage and Home Improvement Costs
Loans to eligible residents to reduce mortgage and home improvement costs. The primary purpose of the program is to support low-income residents. Loans will be to purchase, repair, build, relocate, or renovate homes, or to purchase and/or prepare sites for the purpose of building homes. Applicants will be located in an eligible rural area and meet income requirements.
10. Loan Funding for Low to Moderate Income Residents to Purchase or Build a Home
Loans to eligible residents to purchase or build a home. The program will ensure that low- and moderate-income residents can build, purchase, renovate, or relocate homes throughout the country. The goal of the program is to promote local prosperity, create thriving communities, and improve the quality of life in rural areas.
11. Fund Nonprofits and Tribes for Low-Income Rural Housing Construction Projects
Grants to nonprofits and Tribes for rural housing construction projects benefiting low-income people. The funding will provide safe and affordable housing to families and individuals who cannot otherwise afford to do this on their own.
12. Grants to Nonprofits for Housing for Military Personnel, Veterans and Their Families
Grants to USA nonprofit organizations for events and activities that assist military personnel, veterans, and their families. Funding is intended to for support in the areas of housing, traumatic brain injury treatment, employment, caregiver support, sports rehabilitation, and suicide prevention.
