10 Grants to Celebrate National Hispanic Heritage Month
From September 15th to October 15th of each year, the nation celebrates Hispanic Heritage Month. During this month, people recognize the contributions of Hispanic and Latinx Americans throughout the years. Hispanic Americans have been influential in every part of this nation’s history, from arts and culture to business and innovation.
In the United States, more than 60 million people have ancestries connected to Spain, Mexico, the Caribbean, and Central and South America. That means that one in six Americans can be traced to over 20 countries in Latin America and Spain. There are many labels for this pan-ethnic group, with the most common umbrella terms being “Hispanic” and “Latina/e/o/x.”
This month, communities are encouraged to experience the Hispanic and Latinx cultures through various points of reference. Additionally, GrantWatch.com, the leading grant listing directory, is sharing current grant opportunities that benefit Hispanic communities.
