National Military Family Month to Honor ALL Members of Military Families

November is all about recognizing the contributions and sacrifices made by military families. Honoring members of the military for service to their country is a common tradition among most nations of the world. However, what about the families who have members in the military? Those who faithfully keep the home fires burning, worrying about the fate of their military loved one? Their sacrifices should also be acknowledged. Fortunately, November is designated as National Military Family Month. GrantWatch takes special pride in shining a light on the importance of supporting members of the military and their loved ones. Our contribution is a specific search category in our directory for Veterans and Military.

National Military Month Celebrates Family Strength

National Military Family Month is a month-long campaign dating back to 1996. “It highlights the vital role of military families within the armed forces community … celebrates their strength, resilience, and unwavering support for their loved ones … especially during deployments and service-related obligations … It has since gained national recognition and has become an important occasion for honoring and supporting military families.” (Awareness Days Calendar, National Military Family Month 2023)

It’s a fact that a strong military relies on training and education to ensure every soldier has the tools they need to serve on active duty. However, it’s military families who give our soldiers the foundation of support they need to endure long periods away from home. In fact, it’s that sense of home that is perhaps at the heart of each service member. With that said, GrantWatch is celebrating National Military Family Month to acknowledge the sacrifices our military families make every day. They have our collective thanks and appreciation for everything they do in support of military service men and women.
