4. Funding Fire and Emergency Medical Services (EMS) for Training and Equipment Expenses!
Grants up to $10,000 to eligible nonprofit fire and Emergency Medical Services (EMS) for services and activities throughout/[in] the area. The funding supports local EMS and fire services, including equipment purchases, staffing, training, and supplies.
5. Loans to Emergency Services Organizations for Capital Purchases and Improvements!
There are loans of up to $50,000 to eligible volunteer organizations for capital expenditures and improvements. The funding assists volunteer fire companies to purchase or upgrade equipment, and rehabilitate, construct, expand, or purchase associated structures.
6. Grants to Enhance Capacity to Fight Forest Fires!
Grants to eligible fire departments and county and area fire associations to improve capacity. The funding supports training programs and a wide range of equipment purchases to enhance the ability of local fire departments to fight forest fires.
7. Funding to Build and Renovate Firefighting Training Facilities!
Grants to eligible counties and local governments for capital projects benefiting firefighter training programs. The funding supports upgrading existing facilities and/or constructing new buildings where the local fire service will train personnel in a simulated, life-like environment.
8. Grants to Rural Fire Departments to Purchase Equipment and Enhance Capacity!
Grants to eligible fire departments serving small and rural communities to enhance fire protection and suppression capacity. The funding is for the purchase of essential firefighting equipment and protective gear like tools, nozzles, hoses, radios pumping units, and generators.
